Le court métrage L’arbre au coeur qui bat fera partie d’un programme de courts métrages « Talent tout court » sélectionnés par Danny Lennon d’une durée d’environ 90 minutes. Ce programme sera présenté dans une séance au Marché du film de Cannes dans le cadre de Perspective Canada, une série de projections coordonnée par Téléfilm Canada.

Synopsis
« Tout ce que désire Benjamin est que son entourage l’accepte tel qu’il est, et que la belle Sophie le remarque enfin. L’arbre au cœur qui bat veille sur lui… »

“Benjamin’s only dream is to be accepted for who he is and to get noticed by a young girl called Sophie. An old tree is watching over him…”

Une semaine de conférences, d’ateliers, de projections et, surtout, une rencontre entre étudiants en réalisation de quatre écoles de cinéma de villes nordiques, Helsinki, Potsdam, Gothenburg et Montréal.
